As we prepare for colder weather ahead, the City of Buhler would like to remind residents of the importance of insulating water meter pits. Insulation of water meter pits can prevent pipes from freezing and breaking.

 

Insulate meter pits with:

-Blankets

-Piece of insulation

-Insulation ring (available through City Office for $20, City will install)

 

Do NOT insulate meter pits with:

-Packing peanuts

-Leaves/grass clippings/woodchips
